The Illinois Department of Corrections seeks a Coordinator of Career and Technical Education to manage statewide CTE programming. The role involves developing budgetary and legal knowledge related to CTE, preparing grant applications, conducting compliance visits, and monitoring college contracts. The position requires supervising staff and coordinating with education vendors to support adult education and career technical programs within the Department of Corrections.
Keyqualifications
- Four years of college (preferably in education, social science, or related field)
- Three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in adult education
- Masters Degree in Education with Professional Educator License (preferred)
- Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, and evaluating adult education programming (preferred)
- Experience managing operational budgets and preparing/managing educational grant funding (preferred)
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass IDOC background check and drug screen
