- Conduct site inspections to validate and record infrastructure damage (photographs, site sketches, damage descriptions)
- Develop and review scopes of work and cost estimates, including code and standard requirements
- Review and analyze engineering reports, designs, and as‑built plans
- Make recommendations regarding claim eligibility
- Develop or evaluate hazard mitigation proposals and benefit‑cost analyses
- Work with applicants to prioritize projects, facilitate applicant meetings throughout program delivery and recovery stages, and communicate final determinations
- Provide analyses and update reports, participate in status meetings with FEMA, and identify need for technical specialists
- Coordinate and complete site inspections to assist FEMAPublic Assistance grant delivery process
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 5 years of in‑field experience or 2 years of in‑field experience with a professional registration
- Domestic travel required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a FEMA Badge
- Working knowledge of design applications and technical knowledge
- Knowledge of technologies and methodologies in use of construction materials
- Good organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
- Strong attention to detail
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to adapt to change quickly and remain flexible

Pay RangeMinimum: $33.60 per hour;
Maximum: $67.20 per hour
