• Conduct site inspections to validate and record infrastructure damage (photographs, site sketches, damage descriptions)
• Develop and review scopes of work and cost estimates, including code and standard requirements
• Review and analyze engineering reports, designs, and as‑built plans
• Make recommendations regarding claim eligibility
• Develop or evaluate hazard mitigation proposals and benefit‑cost analyses
• Work with applicants to prioritize projects, facilitate applicant meetings throughout program delivery and recovery stages, and communicate final determinations
• Provide analyses and update reports, participate in status meetings with FEMA, and identify need for technical specialists
• Coordinate and complete site inspections to assist FEMAPublic Assistance grant delivery process
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 5 years of in‑field experience or 2 years of in‑field experience with a professional registration
• Domestic travel required

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a FEMA Badge
• Working knowledge of design applications and technical knowledge
• Knowledge of technologies and methodologies in use of construction materials
• Good organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
• Strong attention to detail
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to adapt to change quickly and remain flexible

Appropriate and valid driver's license required

Minimum: $33.60 per hour;
Maximum: $67.20 per hour
