  3, 12-hour shifts per week, 7 pm – 7 am, every other weekend and rotating holidays

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant II (PCA II) is a certified person who performs direct care in the department setting.
• The PCA II maintains a current certification in patient care and is responsible to assist patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the RN as long as the activity does not distract from primary responsibility for dysrhythmia monitoring.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current Certification in Patient Care required (M.A. / CNA / EMT / Paramedic / Patient Care Tech, etc.)
• Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician, preferred
• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office, preferred

Facility Specific Requirements

• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current per facility requirement

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $18.90 to $28.01.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
