X-Ray Tech - Part Time

Location:

Joliet, IL (travel as needed).

Hours:

Monday‑Friday, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm (20 hours per week). Holidays and travel as needed.

• Position patient on the examining table and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of requested body areas.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain patient cooperation.
• Move X‑ray equipment into specified positions and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
• Obtain patient’s pertinent history.
• Maintain the crash cart, inventory, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Perform other projects and duties related to department objectives.
• Collaborate as a team player, accept constructive criticism, and follow work rules.
• Report to the lead technologist for work assignments.
• Assist with film quality control and work evening and holiday shifts as required, taking responsibility for department operation.
• Assist and relieve manager by expediting patient workflow through the department.

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or 6 months to 2 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• AART registration or eligibility and IDNS licensing.
• CPR certification.
• 6 months – 2 years related experience.

Base pay range $28.84–$38.90 per hour. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay represents only a portion of the total rewards package.
