Join our team in helping seniors thrive in our Supported Living community where we help seniors with a wide range of needs to retain their independence by being supported in their own unit at Joshua Arms of LSSI, a HUD funded community. Our Certified Nursing Assistant position is full‑time and works together the entire Supportive Living team to provide person‑centered care.

Hours:
Varies, 5 days a week.
This position complies with the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) rule, which requires employees working in certain programs to be fully vaccinated unless they have an approved medical or religious exemption. Routine COVID‑19 testing is required if exempt from the COVID‑19 vaccination.

- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living as stated on their individualized service plans.
- Provide personal care services for residents, including bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, assistance to meals, and daily wellness checks.
- Conduct rounds as scheduled, including vital signs and medication reminders.
- Maintain communication with residents and other staff members as appropriate.
- Answer call lights, perform laundry duties, and provide any supportive care as necessary to maintain resident safety.
- Perform light housekeeping as needed.
- Complete required paperwork (charting, logbooks, etc.) and conduct a verbal report at all change of shifts.
- Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individuals in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) – Required.
- Communication skills – reading, writing and verbal.
- Ability to follow directions of supervisor.
- Ability to work with others as a team.
- Complete a two‑step Tuberculin Skin Test.
- Pass Health Care Worker and Criminal Background checks.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
- Valid state driver’s license in good standing and access to reliable transportation.
- Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage.
