• Adhere to laboratory procedures for collection, processing, analysis, and reporting of patient test results.
• Follow quality control policies and document corrective actions for any deviations.
• Identify and correct problems that may affect test performance; notify supervisors or directors as needed.
• Execute a wide variety of laboratory procedures requiring independent judgment across disciplines such as Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunology, and others.
• Perform and document instrument and equipment maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed).
• Review the accuracy of patient results before release or reporting.
• Recognize age‑specific reference ranges for patients from newborns to geriatrics.
• Ensure proficiency testing samples are handled identically to patient samples; coordinate reporting with appropriate agencies.
• Perform venipuncture or capillary puncture as required for all age groups.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of laboratory policies and procedures.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and human resource policies.
• Serve as Lead Technician in the absence of a supervisor, overseeing section or department during shift.
• Take on responsibilities related to Laboratory Information System (LIS) and/or Point‑of‑Care (POC) tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager/director.

• ASCP certification or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum two years of hospital laboratory work experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological health science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution; or other credentials that meet CLIA (42 CFR 493.1423).
• Current and valid state license if required by the state in which the laboratory operates.

Competitive compensation with an estimated starting rate of $35.48 per hour. Final compensation will be determined at the time of hire based on skills, experience, education, and credentials.
