This role provides administrative leadership for the department’s service functions. The Clinical Supervisor works collaboratively with the unit Director and/or Manager, assuming administrative scope when the Director/Manager is absent. Responsibilities include developing and implementing departmental plans, performance‑improvement activities, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and overseeing orientation and training of personnel.
The Clinical Supervisor will:
• Support administrative responsibilities for the department’s service functions.
• Coordinate with the unit Director/Manager to provide continuous leadership.
• Develop and implement departmental plans, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance strategies.
• Prepare and conduct orientation and training for staff.
• Communicate with staff, physicians, and administration through written and verbal channels.
• Ensure quality of staff and departmental functions during every shift.
• Assist the Department Director in daily operations, supervising, and evaluating personnel.
• Perform direct patient needed within the scope of practice, continually assessing care and directing staff to adjust plans care promptly.
Education, Experience, Training
- Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
- BSN preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate upon hire and ongoing maintenance.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate upon hire and ongoing maintenance.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
Facility / Unit Training
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred for Intensive Care.
- Non‑OB facilities – NRP required 90 days after hire and maintained.
- Professional certification within 2 years of hire, preferred.

Estimated compensation: $36.75 – $55.70 per hour, determined at hire based on skill, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
