AmSurg was developed in 1981 by local physicians to offer safe, high quality surgical care. This affordable and convenient alternative to overnight hospitalization enables us to better serve the needs of patients and families.

Location Facts:

• Joint Commission accredited facility caring for over 5,500 cases annually.
• AmSurg is an ambulatory surgery facility. Modern medical advances have made it possible for an adult or child to have non-emergency surgery and return home the same day.

Case Assignments

Diverse case mix including endo, eyes, ortho, ENT, general and vascular

Shifts

• Monday-Friday
• 7am-3pm
• No call, no weekends

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discusses anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

• Current license as a registered professional nurse
• Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
• Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
