Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care facilities, and teaching hospitals. This position requires a strong commitment to patient health, the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement in medical practices.
Duties- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine health status and treatment needs.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide patient care decisions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide addiction counseling and support for patients dealing with substance use disorders.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in internal medicine, geriatrics, and urgent care settings to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Participate in patient education initiatives, teaching patients about their conditions and treatment options.
- Assist in the management of patients in the ICU, including ventilator management when necessary.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patient interactions.
- Valid Physician Assistant license in the state of practice.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are preferred.
- Experience or training in addiction counseling is a plus.
- Familiarity with internal medicine practices and geriatric care is beneficial.
- Previous experience working in outpatient settings or teaching hospitals is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $97,308.96 - $ per year
