REAL ESTATE MANAGER - PLANNING AND LAND PRESERVATION DEPARTMENT
The Forest Preserve District of Will County is accepting resumes for a Real Estate Manager in the Planning and Land Preservation Department at the Sugar Creek Administration Center in Joliet, IL. This full-time position provides an opportunity to contribute to the management, protection, and preservation of District real estate properties while expanding your knowledge and expertise in real estate and land management for conservation.
The role includes a mix of administrative, project coordination, and field responsibilities, such as managing land‑use permits and licenses, supporting conservation easements, addressing property encroachments, and interpreting property boundaries and legal descriptions. The position offers collaborative work with internal teams, landowners, and external stakeholders, and is designed for candidates who are eager to learn on the job, develop new skills, and grow their understanding of real estate practices in a conservation‑focused environment.
The Real Estate Manager is a full‑time, Grade 10 position with a salary range of $54,473.00 to $75,207.00, with an anticipated salary of $54,473.00 to $64,006.00 depending on qualifications.

BASIC FUNCTIONUnder minimal supervision, this position performs a wide variety of duties, including permitting and licensing, project coordination, administrative tasks, fieldwork, and office responsibilities, to support the management, protection, and preservation of District properties. The role facilitates group reviews of real estate‑related projects; oversees land use permits and licenses; addresses encroachments and other misuse of District property; and provides boundary information and real estate expertise.
