We provide full‑spectrum outsourced asset damage‑prevention and mitigation services and solutions on behalf of utility companies across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Texas.

An experienced technician who performs Quality Audits on completed Locating Tickets and is responsible for a variety of tasks related to utility protection for a variety of utility clients. The Watch and Protect technician will oversee contractors digging on and around utility facilities, and monitor excavation to help prevent damage to critical facilities.

• Perform Quality Audits on completed work, inspect locate marks and marking standards for accuracy, review E‑Sketch documentation, billing and status codes, screen capture and photo documentation, and scope of the ticket’s work area.
• Act as Watch & Protect technician: compare real‑world conditions to record documentation, verify location of all client facilities within specified dig extents, maintain surveillance of critical infrastructure where excavations are known to be taking place or will be taking place soon, schedule and contact excavators, monitor excavations near critical infrastructure, locate and mark underground facilities using industry tools and methods, and audit ticket marking procedures.

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 2 years of experience in the locating industry.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret prints at a high level.
• Multiple years of locating and pipeline technician experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of safe worksite practices.
• Experience with the construction and installation of below‑grade infrastructure and basic maintenance of industry standard locating equipment.
• Experience working within and utilizing existing utility standard designs.
• Experience with complex urban underground utility infrastructure and serving as firm/client liaison.
• Experience reviewing design drawings created by others.

• Capable of moving about on construction work sites, public streets and parkways.
• Capable of lifting up to 50/75 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel or sit for extended periods.
• Hand‑eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various measurement, locating and testing instruments.
