Base pay: $60,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr
Basic Function: Provide partner abuse intervention services through co-facilitation of educational groups and individual assessments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Co-facilitate Partner Abuse Intervention groups in accordance with the curriculum designated for the program.
- Assist with assessments for potential participants in the Partner Abuse Intervention Program using designated assessment forms.
- Provide supervision to PAIP staff, volunteers and interns in accordance with GACS requirements.
- Complete reports as assigned on a timely basis.
- Represent Guardian Angel Community Services/Partner Abuse Intervention Program in professional organizations, as directed, increasing outreach for the program.
- Submit all reports, oral and written, in an accurate and timely manner as required by GACS and in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Communicate problems and issues to the Program Director.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies.
- Assist GACS administration in any investigation against conduct that is illegal.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Attend staff meetings, all-agency and other meetings as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, social work or a related field or three years experience in the areas of education or social work.
- Interest in violence prevention issues.
- Forty (40) hours of ICDVP approved domestic violence training.
- Twenty (20) hours of Partner Abuse Intervention training.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of persons served.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Valid Illinois driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance coverage.
