Inventory Control Clerk 2nd – RJW Logistics Group
Schedule/Shift: D Shift, Tuesday - Friday / 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM ($20/hr)
Job Purpose: The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for conducting cycle counts and bin location audits, assisting in researching and reconciling inventory discrepancies and working with the Inventory Supervisor/Manager in any inventory related functions concerned with inventorying materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom, warehouse, or yard.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Performs physical counts of inventory items in order to maintain accurate inventory.
- Counts and reconciles randomly chosen or chosen part numbers and/or locations on a daily basis.
- Accurately inputs inventory control data to ensure inventory integrity.
- Completes necessary documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on time.
- Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Use of motorized equipment including:
Cherry Picker, Sit-Down Forklift, Stand-Up Reach Truck. - Other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ensures compliance to inventory processes and procedures, and contractual obligations. - Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.
- Utilize computer terminal to properly account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation.
- Minimum 1-3 months related experience and/or training in Inventory Control.
- Minimum 1-3 months related experience and/or training in warehouse environment.
- Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift required.
- Experience using WMS software a plus (Synapse preferred).
- PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Database.
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and write emails.
- Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.
- Forklift certification a plus.
