Job Purpose

Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and housekeeping, ensure shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded, provide material handling services for shipping and receiving, and promote safe operation of forklifts and walk‑ie equipment under all safety policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Properly receive, unload, move, and tag incoming parts and equipment.
  • Experience with WMS, QMS, Lean Warehousing, RF scanners, and operating material handling equipment.
  • Pull and stage parts for production; complete requisitions for parts shortages.
  • Collect and package inventory and shipped items.
  • Comply with safety policies while using lifting devices (forklifts, scissor lifts) and maintain clean initiative standards.
  • Learn day‑to‑day warehouse operations.
  • Verify orders for completeness and accuracy.
  • Pick each customer order efficiently to minimize shipping costs and ensure product safety.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and work independently with limited supervision.
  • General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
  • Work as part of a team and demonstrate leadership when appropriate.
  • Read, write, and understand English.
  • Attention to detail and quality is a must.
  • Good communication, concise problem resolution and people skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and cover other shifts.
  • PC skills are helpful.
  • Major experience operating sit‑down forklifts and walk‑ies.
  • Experience building pallets with stock and breaking down stock to fill orders.
  • Experience in cross‑docking freight process.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced warehouse.
Qualifications
  • 2–4 years in a warehouse environment.
  • Good, stable work and attendance record.
Education and/or Experience Required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Warehousing certifications a plus.
  • Reach Forklift experience required.
Language Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
  • Must effectively communicate, read, write, and speak English.
Mathematical Skills
  • Perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Compute rate, ratio, percentage and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
  • Solve practical problems with limited standardization.
  • Interpret instructions written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Determine root cause of problem and corrective action.
Computer Skills
  • Knowledge of business operating systems, internet software, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
Physical Demands
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 60 pounds.
  • Remain on foot for full shift (8 hours).
  • Work more than 8 continuous hours when required.
  • Maintain sound physical health as determined by a licensed physician; no evidence of controlled substance use.
Work Environment
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
  • Noise level ranges from quiet to moderately loud.
