Keep a respected electrical manufacturer moving: receive, ship, and track the materials that help power America's infrastructure.
Shipping & Receiving Material Handler | Forklift | Electrical Equipment ManufacturingThis role may also be known as:
- Shipping and Receiving Clerk
- Shipper / Receiver
- Material Handler
- Warehouse Associate
Every custom electrical system that leaves this facility goes on to power industries, facilities, and infrastructure across the country. None of it ships on time without someone who gets the details right on the dock. That someone could be you.
This is not a "show up, move boxes, go home" warehouse job. You will be the person production counts on to have materials where they need to be, and the person customers, freight brokers, and carriers call to make sure shipments land when promised. Your accuracy shows up directly in on-time deliveries and on-schedule production.
If you take pride in an organized dock, clean paperwork, and freight that goes out right the first time, this is a place where that is noticed and valued.
Why This Opportunity Is Different- Stability you can build on: an established manufacturer with nearly 90 years in business and facilities in several states.
- A culture that moves fast and listens: the company is known in its industry for being agile and progressive, so people on the floor have a direct impact on how things run.
- Real ownership: you are a key point of contact for customers, freight brokers, carriers, and drivers, not someone waiting on instructions.
- Skills that grow your career: freight coordination, ERP and warehouse management systems, inventory control, forklift and overhead crane experience, all in one role.
- A team that values collaboration, customer focus, and integrity, and backs each other up in a fast-paced environment.
- Keep production supplied by receiving, inspecting, unloading, and putting away incoming materials accurately.
- Get customer orders out right the first time by picking, packaging, staging, and loading shipments to customer and carrier requirements.
- Own the freight schedule with customers, freight brokers, carriers, and drivers so pickups and deliveries happen on time.
- Produce clean, accurate paperwork, including bills of lading, packing slips, labels, and carrier documents.
- Keep the system accurate by entering shipping, receiving, inventory, and freight transactions in ERP and warehouse management systems.
- Move material safely with forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
- Protect inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, and transaction processing.
- Solve shipping discrepancies with internal teams, customers, and carriers before they become bigger problems.
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Forklift operating experience (required).
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred; overhead crane experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret bills of lading, packing slips, and receiving paperwork.
- Experience coordinating shipments, scheduling pickups, and tracking deliveries.
- Accurate data entry in ERP or warehouse management systems, plus basic Microsoft Office skills.
- A professional communicator who is comfortable working with customers, freight brokers, carriers, and drivers.
- Organized and detail-focused, able to work independently, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- A safety-first mindset and sound decision-making.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise, and moving equipment.
