Pediatric Hospitalist NE Arkansas College Town - closed ICU

Seeking a board-certified/board-eligible pediatrician to join our growing Pediatric Hospitalist Team.

• 400+ bed Medical Center serving 23 counties in North East Arkansas
• 18 Pediatric Beds
• 40-50 pediatric patients per month
• 19 bed NICU, Certified Level IIIA
• 17 LDR Rooms, 1900 deliveries a year
• Team support:
  Daytime nurse practitioner for newborns, dedicated lactation team and family medicine residents for pediatric patients.

• Providing inpatient care to hospitalized pediatric patients and newborns.
• Provide backup and consultative services to UAMS NE Family Medicine Residency program with pediatric/newborn consults as needed.
• Provide consultative services to local community hospitals, ERs and clinics.
• Must be a physician leader in the areas of safety and quality.
• Ability to teach and be involved in academics (Residents and Medical Students)
• Assist ED Physician with admitting patients and other emergencies when in-house as needed

Pediatric Hospitalist hours: 12‑hour shifts with calls from home - 216 shifts per year.
