Position Summary
The Department of Psychology and Counseling at Arkansas State University invites applications for a full-time, in-person Instructor of Psychology to start August 2026. A broad range of areas of specialization will be considered as long as the applicant is equipped and trained to teach Introduction to Psychology and Abnormal Psychology at the undergraduate level.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe primary courses the candidate will teach will be Introduction to Psychology and Abnormal Psychology. Depending on specialization and interest of the candidate, other courses within our curriculum may be available. This position carries a 5/5 teaching load.
Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesThe successful candidate will show a strong commitment to teaching at the college/university level. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
General Days/HoursMonday-Friday 8am-5pm. Additional hours as requested and/or needed. Regular and reliable attendance. On campus position in Jonesboro, AR.
Preferred QualificationsTeaching experience at the college/university level is preferred.
Minimum QualificationsMaster's degree or higher in Psychology awarded by the start date.
