Position SummaryThe Arkansas State University (ASTATE) Department of Psychology and Counseling, in the College of Education and Behavioral Science, seeks an Assistant Professor of School Counseling, for a nine-month, non-tenure track position (# F00228) for the MSE School Counseling program.
Duties & Responsibilities- Teaching is normally 15 credit hours per semester
- Engage in supervision as needed
- Attend weekly meetings
- Serve on committees as needed
- Provide comprehensive feedback on student assignments and discussion posts in order to promote learning and growth
- Integrate video conference sessions into didactic and clinical courses
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to share Formal Teaching Evaluations with student feedback from previous/current institution
- Must be willing to teach both didactic and clinical courses
- Ability to teach fully online school counseling courses and engage in service duties as appropriate for the program; including facilitating evening sessions via video conference.
- Provide comprehensive feedback on student assignments and discussion posts in order to promote learning and growth
- Willingness to integrate video conference sessions into didactic classes (at least 2 per session) in order to enhance faculty / peer interaction and augment learning
- Ability to work in a collaborative team setting

Candidate must possess appropriate license as an LPC or LPCS, NCC, ACS, or licensed school counselor.
