The School of Nursing invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor, Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner option in the ACEN-accredited Master of Science in Nursing Program. Participation in teaching, student advising, and professional service is expected. The position is a full-time (12-month), non-tenure track at the rank of assistant professor. This position begins August 16, 2025.

• Teaching: actively participate in curriculum development, course content, clinical experiences, and test construction. Responsible for didactic courses and/or clinical group size appropriate to the area of clinical practice. Plan and supervise clinical seminars. Establish effective relationships with co-workers and clinical agencies. Continue education for professional growth. Participate in academic advising and guidance of students.
• Service: maintain office hours as required (at least 5 virtual hours per week), participate in faculty organization and college/university activities, serve on committees, sponsor student activities, contribute to community health organizations, and participate in professional organizations (e.g., ANA, NACNS).
• Other duties as assigned.

This position is identified as a telecommuting role. Duties are performed during standard work hours (8am-5pm) at a designated and secure work location with dedicated workspace and secure internet access. Review and acknowledge the Telecommuting Guidelines and Agreement for A-State.
