Part-Time Floater

Overview

We are recruiting qualified individuals to be part of our team of teachers at the Goddard School of Jonesboro. We are seeking a Part Time Assistant Teacher/Floater who is passionate and enthusiastic about early childhood education, can multitask in a lively environment, and loves working with children from Infancy to Pre-K.

A part time floater is responsible for helping to establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment, and for working with teachers and in conjunction with the entire faculty.

• Assist in establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
• Work with teachers and collaborate with the faculty to support the education program.
• Maintain supervision of children at all times, following the learning-through-play philosophy.
• Assist with diapering and toileting as necessary.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with school personnel, children, and parents.
• Handle crisis situations appropriately, including assisting in evacuations during emergencies.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations relating to childcare and with the franchisee’s employment policies.
• Complete an approved criminal record check as required by state regulations.

• Ability to understand and support the education program using a learning-through-play philosophy.
