• Experience with elderly care and assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) is helpful.
• Certified nursing aide preferred.
• Physical fitness: ability to walk frequently, use hands, manipulate equipment, and perform moves such as bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, pushing/pulling, and reaching above shoulder level.
• Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Safety‑sensitive position; must comply with St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy.

The Resident Assistant assists residents who are functionally, physically, and/or socially impaired and need assistance with activities of daily living. Responsible for promoting and implementing a variety of activities under the direction of the Activity Coordinator, including internal and external opportunities for socialization. Assists and teaches residents skills in self‑help and helps maintain the self‑respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
