Job Requirements

• Education
  • Skills and proficiency in oral and written grammar, communication, and basic mathematics.
• Experience
  • Knowledge of job content and requirements as acquired by on-the-job training. Knowledge of hospital policies/procedures, practices, techniques and equipment as acquired through orientation.
• Physical

  • Normal hospital environment. Exposure to biological hazards. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Possible exposure to cooler temperatures to ensure equipment stability. Frequent exposure to fumes and odors. Frequent sitting and reaching. Carrying up to 20lbs.

Responsible for continuously observing and interpreting ECG patterns on the oscilloscope under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Responsible for one shift. Documents all pertinent information on rhythm strips and notifies Medical or Nursing staff of changes or abnormalities in patient rhythms. Incumbents are subject to overtime and call‑back as required by the hospital.
