Licensed Practical Nurse
This position requires skill and proficiency in applying the technical skills of practical nursing. Such proficiency is acquired through completion of an approved Practical Nurse Program. Knowledge of human growth and development is necessary for assessment, range of treatment and care of patients appropriate to the patient’s age, and is acquired through formal education coursework. Current licensure or permit as a Practical Nurse in the state of Arkansas is required.
Candidates must meet the minimum standard set for the pharmacy exam.
- Experience
- Knowledge of facility policies, procedures, practices, techniques, and equipment as acquired through orientation.
- Physical requirements:
normal hospital environment, exposure to biological hazards, close eye work, hearing of normal and soft tones, ability to distinguish smells, distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity, frequent exposure to fumes, odors and water. Lifting up to 100 lbs., carrying up to 40 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs., frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching. - This is a safety-sensitive position. Under the direct supervision of the registered nurse, responsible for providing direct and/or indirect patient care. Incumbents are subject to overtime and callback as required by the hospital. Assists the registered nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for an assigned group of patients. Documents patient condition, treatments, and care given.
