Operations Site Lead
We are seeking an Operations Site Lead to join American Tower’s Network Operations department. As the frontline representation in the field with customers, vendors, and landowners, the Operations Site Lead will support the Network Operations department and various interdepartmental objectives.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities include collecting data from assigned tower assets, maintaining high standards of data quality, and using multiple methods for data collection, including Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). The role will also involve partnering cross‑functionally to manage maintenance and repairs across a geographic area for all asset types, including towers, rooftop installations, fiber‑based networks, and generators.
Responsibilities- Perform routine site audits on assets in an assigned area/zone efficiently and cost‑effectively, utilizing UAS and other data collection tools.
- Ensure all assets meet safety, compliance, and asset integrity standards by implementing Company standards of care and other policies, identifying and documenting discrepancies, and following through on needed remediation.
- Engage with customers and vendors to manage projects, ensuring timelines and safety standards are met during pre‑construction meetings, post‑construction site walks, and when gathering and processing close‑out data for customer construction and internally generated projects.
- Meet customer service level agreements by responding quickly to issues with the Company’s backup generators, fiber‑based networks, or for emergency response to critical events.
- Approximately 75% of the role’s time will be performed outside a conventional office environment, visiting assets in a Company vehicle.

- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Minimum 2 years of work experience in telecommunications or a related field required.
- Must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver’s license, have a safe driving record, and be able to travel extensively by car or truck.
- Must obtain or already hold FAA Part 107 Certification to operate UAS within one year of hire.
- Vendor management, real‑estate management, or civil construction background is preferred.
- Knowledge of radio transmitters, receivers, antennas, radio frequency, wireless, or Ethernet backhaul is preferred.
- Ability to use discretion when setting priorities and resolving issues in accordance with Company best practices and standards.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to use additional Company software applications.
- While performing the role, you will need to lift up to 60 lbs. and be able to traverse developed and undeveloped construction sites.
- Approximately 40% overnight travel may be required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within agreed time frames through effective prioritization in a fast‑paced environment.
American Tower is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For U.S.
-based candidates, the base salary range for this position is $28.85–$38.46 per hour, with eligibility for annual bonus, annual equity award, and participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). For candidates outside the U.S., salary and benefits are based on local market practice.
