Position Summary:Systems Analyst (System Administrator) is responsible for coordinating the design and/or modification of computer system process activities. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Participating with team in system architecture decisions, management, implementation, and maintenance of physical servers, virtual servers, Cloud based systems, etc.
- Windows and Linux system automation, monitoring, backups, upgrades, patching, debugging and performance tuning.
- Integrations with Web Applications, APIs, and 3rd party integrations with ERP systems.
- Collaborate with network, security, application teams, and Campus constituents to support infrastructure needs.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, data security standards, and regulatory requirements. Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
- Other duties as assigned.
Technical Knowledge:
- Proficient in Power Shell, Bash, and Python for automation and system administration tasks.
- Experience with CRON for scheduled task management.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (M365) administration and integration.
- Experience with VMware and Proxmox virtualization platforms.
- Familiarity with Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations and identity management and Proofpoint for email security and threat protection.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
- Familiarity with Ellucian Banner SIS is desirable.
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments, including web server configuration and management is desirable.
- Experience with back‑end development using PHP and C# is desirable.
- Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
- Ability to write and optimize SQL queries.

Willingness to stay current with evolving web technologies; ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and frameworks.

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed. Regular and reliable attendance. Opportunity for hybrid work schedule.
Minimum Qualifications:The formal education equivalent of an earned bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer applications, mathematics, or a related field.
Other job‑related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee.
