Position

Summary

The Warehouse Leader provides day-to-day direction and support to Warehouse Associates. This position may lead start-up, safety, and other team meetings while providing solutions to team members for basic issues. This position works under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:

12-hour Night shift (6:00pm-6:00am)

Hourly pay of $27.79/hr including $1.50 Shift Differential

Responsibilities
  • Work safely in a manufacturing environment by maintaining safety awareness, following guidelines, inspecting and properly using PPE, completing required safety training, performing risk predictions and other relevant techniques.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to the warehouse team including task assignments, problem solving, break schedules, and similar routine task delegation.
  • Lead start-up, safety, and other team meetings.
  • Communicate with other department leadership related to daily operations.
  • Fill in during the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Use PC and/or tablet for communication, completion of daily tasks, and completion of project assignments.
  • Drop and stage raw goods from warehouse racks as needed for production.
  • Deliver goods to production areas in a timely, accurate, and safe manner.
  • Check for deviations before beginning deliveries. Read communication notes and staging reports.
  • Return unused raw goods to correct locations in a timely manner.
  • Keep work areas up to housekeeping and GMP standards.
  • Operate PIVs including walkies and forklifts in safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform all duties and actions in a safe manner and continuously monitor areas to ensure that safety procedures are being followed.
  • Complete all specified reports accurately and on time.
  • Adherence to plant attendance policies.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with fellow team members and other departments.
  • Complete required training including ilearns, OJT, classroom, or other delivery methods that foster continued human development.
  • Understand and follow factory management systems for human safety, food safety and/or environmental management. Understand and actively work toward achieving management system targets and objectives.
  • Follow factory rules, procedures, and/or practices.
  • Report incidents and unsafe conditions immediately, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the appropriate management system on all related procedures and programs.
  • All other duties and tasks including both essential and nonessential as assigned.
Education
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience
  • Leadership experience in a warehouse environment preferred
  • PIV experience preferred
  • Inventory control systems experience preferred
Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to use and perform basic math functions to include but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.
  • Basic PC and tablet skills
  • Basic problem-solving skills
  • Functional knowledge/use of industry safety standards in a warehouse environment related to facilities, equipment, and movement/storage of products
