Camfil USA is seeking skilled Fabricators to join our team. As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and assembling steel components for our modular industrial dust collection systems. You will utilize various machinery including fiber optic lasers, break presses, drill presses, shears, rollers, threaders, and band saws to produce high‑quality parts.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Operate fiber optic lasers, break presses, drill presses, shears, rollers, threaders, and band saws to cut and shape steel components.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Perform accurate measurements using tape measures and other measuring tools.
- Ensure all fabricated parts meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on fabrication equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Lift and maneuver heavy materials as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Availability for overtime as needed.
- Locate and mark bending and cutting lines onto work piece.
- Availability for daily/weekly overtime.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, regulations.
- Crosstrain in other positions within the facility based on business needs.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Previous experience in a manufacturing assembly role.
- Previous experience in metal fabrication or a similar role.
- Proficiency in operating fabrication machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports.
- Ability to speak English effectively to management and employees of organization.
- Simple math may be required including but not limited to the ability to use a measuring tape, multiplication of whole numbers, ability to use a calculator, work with fractions.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for continuous periods of 4 hours. The employee frequently is required to handle product and reach with hands and arms, repetitively throughout the shift. The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
