Licensed Practical Nurse - Med​/Surg

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to assist the Registered Nurse in providing quality patient care at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare. This role supports our commitment to caring for the community and improving the lives of patients through compassion and a focus on best practices.

• Contribute to the nursing assessment by collecting, reporting, and recording objective and subjective data.
• Provide direct care in a safe manner.
• Evaluate the plan of care on a continuous basis.
• Effectively communicate in writing and orally with patients/families and other health team members.
• Participate in activities designed to improve health care delivery in the assigned area.

• Technical Degree or Diploma in Nursing – LPN

• No prior work experience required.

• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT – American Heart Association
• Licensed Practical Nurse – Arkansas (Arkansas State Board of Nursing)
• Licensed Practical Nurse – Mississippi (Mississippi Board of Nursing)
• Licensed Practical Nurse – Tennessee (Tennessee Board of Nursing)

• No supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this position.

• Climbing, pushing, standing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, repetitive motion.
• Good balance and coordination required.
• May exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally or up to 25 lbs. frequently.
• Close visual acuity required (color, depth perception, field of vision).
• Frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact.
• Exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous materials.
• Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
