The OpportunityAs Kitchen Leader at Chipotle Mexican Grill, you’ll learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, sauté vegetables, and manage inventory and equipment. You’ll train others to become future Kitchen Leaders while ensuring the kitchen maintains cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards.
What You’ll Do- Cook and prep food to order while following Chipotle’s policies and procedures
- Monitor food waste and inventory levels, addressing quality issues promptly
- Support teamwork between back‑of‑house and front‑of‑house crew members
- Develop crew members into future Kitchen Leaders
- Communicate effectively with crew and customers to ensure great service and throughput
- Clean and sanitize the kitchen regularly
- Monitor kitchen equipment, ensuring repairs happen quickly
- Maintain safety standards to prevent injuries or accidents
- Complete Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and inventory rotation (FIFO)
- Knowledge and ability to articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy
- Proficiency in the primary language(s) of the work location
- High school diploma
- Restaurant experience
