We are seeking an Independent Contractor - Licensing Specialist to lead the charge on the certification process as required by state licensing, assess families for their ability to foster, and collaborate with staff to develop recruitment methods.

• Lead the certification process, including initial training, home study process, and approval to be a foster home
• Assess the family for ability to foster throughout the training and home study process
• Use data to collaborate with staff, foster parents, and community-based influencers to develop and implement ongoing recruitment methods
• Ensure the CRM reflects accurate and timely data regarding leads/opportunities and activities
• Utilize CRM to manage follow-up communication with prospective foster parents using phone, email, text, face-to-face, and direct mail

• Masters degree and professional licensure (LSW—with contingency of obtaining LGSW, LCSW, LICSW or LPCC, LPC). (West Virginia only)
• Advanced Degree in a human services discipline with preferred experience in mental health treatment of children with emotional or behavioral disabilities and their families, and possess a valid Mental Health Practitioner’s License (Kentucky only)
• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in a human services discipline one (1) year of experience in mental health treatment, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in mental health treatment of children with emotional or behavioral disabilities and their families (if applicable) and a valid Ohio Mental Health Practitioner’s License (Ohio only)
• Valid driver’s license and required auto insurance coverage
• Must carry professional liability insurance
• Training and Travel willingness
• Successful completion of all required criminal background checks
• Positive reference checks
• Must possess the skills to navigate and execute software programs (i.e Microsoft Office, Database, Electronic Health Record, Dashboard)
