Nurse Manager – Perioperative Services

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Nurse Manager I - ACLS Certified, Perioperative Services to lead nursing operations within Day Surgery at Southwood Medical Offices in Jonesboro, Georgia.

What You’ll Do

As Nurse Manager I, you’ll provide clinical and operational leadership while supporting nursing excellence and patient safety.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead, coach, and develop nursing staff and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Oversee daily clinical operations, staffing, scheduling, and resource utilization.
• Support safe, efficient perioperative and Day Surgery workflows.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare leaders to improve patient outcomes.
• Monitor quality standards, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Support hiring, onboarding, staff training, and performance evaluations.
• Lead operational improvement and quality initiatives.
• Manage clinical equipment, supplies, medications, and resource needs.
• Support emergency preparedness and regulatory survey readiness.
• Assist with departmental budgets, payroll, and expenditures.
• Address patient and family concerns with professionalism and compassion.
• Maintain clinical expertise and provide direct clinical support when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Minimum 3 years of patient-care delivery experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare clinical operations, business operations, or a directly related field.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
  , with or without direct reports.
• Active Georgia Registered Nurse license required at hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or another relevant master's degree.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience in perioperative nursing, Operating Room, Day Surgery, or ambulatory surgery leadership.
• Experience with clinical operations, process improvement, staff development, and regulatory compliance.

Compensation & Schedule

• Full-time, regular position
• 40 hours per week
• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Onsite at Southwood Medical Offices in Jonesboro, GA
• Approximately 50% travel as required

Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and applicable Kaiser Permanente compensation guidelines.
