Position SummaryThe Store Manager in Training (SMIT) program is a development-focused role designed to prepare candidates for a CVS Store Manager position. It features a 16‑week self-paced, collaborative training that blends virtual instruction with hands‑on learning, supported by a District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and a Store Manager coach.
Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with the team in verbal and written formats.
- Perform customer care duties to maintain high levels of service.
- Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth.
- Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.
- Actively engage with leaders during key learning experiences to support the path to promotion.
- Support the store as a management team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies.
- Engage colleagues in support of the company's purpose of “helping people on their path to better health.”
- Be willing to accept promotion roles with the market that you work in.
- Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager role at any location in the designated market.
- Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market.
- Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- A four‑year college degree is preferred, and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Pay Range: $18.50 - $23.88 per hour (base hourly rate for the job grade; actual offer based on experience, education, geography, etc.)
