Position Summary:

Thermal Engineering International (USA) Inc. designs and fabricates high quality Pressure Vessels and Heat Transfer Equipment for the power generation and process industries worldwide. The Buyer is responsible for the procurement of materials, equipment and services. The Cost Accountant assists with month end closing, including preparation of month end reporting packages, and pursues process improvements such as report automation utilizing current or future ERP applications and costs and variance analysis.

Coordinate inventory related activities with Inventory Control, including cycle count activities, and help ensure overall inventory accuracy. Works under the Plant Controller to ensure timely submission of deliverables.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Utilize current ERP applications and software, automate creation of the monthly reporting packages to ensure timeliness and accuracy, providing direct download capabilities where possible to eliminate redundant data entry; also use extraction capabilities to perform ad-hoc projects and analysis.
• Process daily timesheet postings for the manufacturing plant
• Assist with Joplin Bank Reconciliation to ensure timely and accurate entries to the GL.
• Assist the Plant Controller with the annual budget process and perform monthly financial analysis for the plant.
• Interact and assist internal and external customers with inquiries, problem resolution, training and other informational requests.

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.), discipline in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
• 1-3 years of Accounting Experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
• Flexibility in schedule, initiative, willingness to learn, maintain effective and professional interaction with all levels.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize the deadlines.
• Experience with Costpoint ERP and Power BI a plus.
• Experience with business computer software (including MS Excel and MS Word).
