Job Overview
The Arc of the Ozarks welcomes applicants for a Behavioral Technician Supervisor position. The role is an hourly, non‑exempt position offering starting pay at $22.50 per hour.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and mentor Behavior Support Technicians (BSTs) in Individual Supported Living (ISL) settings.
- Provide one‑to‑one support and training for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, covering activities such as cooking, cleaning, hygiene, grocery purchasing, medication administration, community participation and money management.
- Assist the Program Supervisor with implementing personal plans, maintaining records and reports, and coordinating therapeutic programs.
- Lead crisis prevention and intervention, including medication administration and emergency response.
- Maintain a safe, clean residential environment and manage supplies and inventories.
- Conduct documentation, incident reports, and support new employee orientation.
- Support individuals’ community participation and vocational activities.
- Daily life skills: cooking, cleaning, hygiene, purchasing groceries, food preparation, medication administration, behavioral care, community participation, personal‑fund management.
- Help implement personal plans and communicate directives.
- Maintain necessary records and reports.
- Contribute to creating a therapeutic environment.

- Paid training certifications (CPR/First Aid, MANDT, Level One Med Aide, etc.).
- Mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use during client activities.

- High‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months direct care experience in the human‑service field.
- Preferred: experience with individuals who have intellectual or developmental disabilities or behavior disorders.
- Valid, insured driver license and ability to obtain a class E license if required.
- Good judgment, discretion, and the ability to work with people of all ages.
- Knowledge of basic and advanced behavioral support techniques.
- Capacity to supervise, evaluate, and train staff.
- Ability to administer medications and handle emergency care, meeting state certification requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs.
- Complete CPR and First Aid training.
- Complete 16‑hour medication administration course.
- Complete 10‑hour MANDT System workshop.
- Complete OSHA health and safety course.
- Complete Abuse & Neglect training.
- Complete Electronic Documentation training.
