The Engineering Manager organizes and directs the engineering department. The department designs, installs, and provides support to the plant's facilities, equipment, production processes, and computer network. In collaboration with other department managers, the engineering manager prioritizes improvement projects, repairs, and preventive maintenance, and provides the resources, help, and motivation the department staff needs to keep the plant operational.

The Engineering Manager should demonstrate a solid work ethic through diligent effort, availability, physical involvement, good decision-making, and completing projects. The goal is to achieve documented improvements in plant performance.

As a member of the Plant Manager's Staff, the Engineering Manager performs additional duties as requested by other managers within the plant, Division, or Corporate Office, and may assist other plants. The role supervises directly:
Maintenance Superintendent and all engineers in the department (networking engineers, EE, ME, IE, etc.). Indirectly supervises: maintenance technicians.
