Machine Operator II - Delkor Carton Former - 2nd Shift

Provides the proper box for the product that is scheduled.

• Assures that packaging materials being run on the Box Former have proper identification, specifically Revision and ASI number.
• Ensures that boxes are free of vendor defects.
• Operates the Box Former to produce the correct number of quality boxes needed for production.
• Counts how many cartons are scraped in their area of responsibility.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Clears jams safely and quickly.
• Troubleshoots machines as needed.
• Practices good manufacturing practices.
• Understands company safety rules and safe employee practices.
• Communicates effectively with maintenance personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Employee Safety Responsibilities:

• Reports all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and horseplay.
• Uses proper lifting techniques.
• Uses mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift).
• Uses personal assistance (buddy system).
• Uses handrails.
• Uses and wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Temperatures throughout the plant average 50 degrees. Required to wear hairnet, smock, boots, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the company. Must comply with Food Safety standards: GMPs, SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF, and other quality requirements.
