Registered Nurse (Full-Time) Emergency Dept.
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications- Education:
Graduate from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN). - Licensure:
Obtain and maintain a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure; meet all state board of nursing requirements. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- Certifications that may be required based on position/unit (must be obtained within required timeframe): ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E. Six Assessment & Care Modules, C‑EFM, or other unit‑specific certifications.
Certifications may include, but are not limited to, the list above. Ongoing certification maintenance is expected.
Physical Requirements- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
