Travel RN - Pediatrics

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Specialty Surgery RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of pediatric nursing experience and a Missouri or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• ADN or BSN required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PEARS, PALS, and CPEN
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Pediatric Department Primary Care
• Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English
• Basic computer and office equipment proficiency required
• No work history gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Pediatric Surgical Unit within a hospital setting
• Pediatric patient population
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Uses Epic EMR
• Maintains a safe patient environment according to AWOHHN, ACOG, and AAP guidelines
• Assists with annual unit duties and precepting new staff members
• Coordinates daily staffing duties and provides call coverage according to facility guidelines
• Builds rapport and collaborates with the healthcare team through effective communication and problem-solving
• Required to wear black scrubs
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, with hours made up during the assignment
