Traveling Utility Herbicide Applicator

Position Overview

Seasonal position with travel throughout Missouri, March-September. Pay $18-$22/hr opportunity to join additional projects if willing to travel.

• Plan and apply herbicide to utility right-of-way.
• Maintain electronic spray logs.
• Inspect vegetation for compliance.
• Identify tree and brush control work and protection zone recommendations.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Planners, and Vegetation Crews to create customized solutions.

• Love of outdoors; ability to hike rugged terrain.
• Lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Operate with limited supervision.
• Leadership experience and career growth desire.
• Problem solving, deadlines, technical innovation.
• Excellent communication.
• Travel availability throughout service area.
• Valid Driver’s License; clean record; drive UTV.
• Organizational skills; computer knowledge.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Relevant pesticide/herbicide licenses or ability to obtain within 90 days. Assistance available for licensing fees.

• State applicator licenses.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certifications.
