Garage Door Brokers is seeking an installation/service technician to join our growing team. Based in Joplin, MO, we are a local company that provides our customers with high-quality door products and services. Our team members have an opportunity to practice their trade skills and grow in a family-oriented company.
Job SummaryThe Installation/Service Technician will work with residential and commercial customers to ensure that all jobs are completed to our quality standards. The technician will need to be customer service-driven, have excellent communication skills, and be able to keep up with daily paperwork, such as invoicing, estimating, and scheduling.
Required Skills/Abilities- Experience installing and servicing doors (rolling steel, sectional, high speed, man doors)
- Familiar with garage door openers and gate openers
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders and lifts
- Basic framing and electrical experience
- Experience with acetylene torch
- Willingness to work outdoors and adapt to varying weather conditions
- Demonstrate a good work ethic and attitude
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Willing to travel for out-of-town service/installation
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 or more years’ experience with doors or similar construction
- Clean driving record
This employee shall maintain regular hours Monday through Friday (up to 40 hours/week). Schedule may require some evening or weekend work with notice from the supervisor.
Compensation- Salary range: $35,000- $45,000
