Warehouse Parcel Packer-Part time Joplin, MO

Summary

This position is responsible for packing smaller customer orders in a timely and efficient manner in the warehouse.

• Examines shipment contents, comparing item codes to pick sheets for verification of correct items and quantities.
• Checks all items to ensure new conditions and cleanliness of product.
• Utilizes RF scanners to make sure all orders/inventory is accurately tracked, applying invoice number to sales orders.
• Packs, seals, labels all items to prepare for shipment using hand & power tools, and packing materials.
• Confirms items are packed to established standards & policies.
• Applies shipping labels as required to finished package.
• Stacks boxes on belts and/or loads shipping trucks with sealed boxes.
• Cleans packing station daily.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma, or GED equivalent needed. Any further education/experience in the warehousing area preferred.
• Must maintain a positive attitude, with a customer service focus in a fast-paced work environment.
• Use of forklift trucks & order pickers experience a plus.
• Should possess ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
• Should be detail-oriented, focused, driven, and a self-starter.
• Must have willingness to learn products sold, customer service, policies, procedures, and about the trucking industry as a whole inorder to meet customer needs.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work quickly and safely.
