Role Overview

We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented Generative AI Video Creator to join our growing video production team. In this role, you’ll transform scripts, storyboards, and animatics into engaging educational videos using a blend of generative AI tools and traditional motion-graphics techniques.
You’ll collaborate with creative leads, illustrators, and content developers to ensure every visual aligns with JoVE’s educational and brand standards. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your animation expertise with the evolving possibilities of AI-assisted content creation.

Key Responsibilities

Transform Animatics into Final Videos:  Use AI video models to turn rough animatics or storyboards into compelling sequences, ensuring consistency in style and quality.
Design & Integrate Assets:  Generate or adapt visual assets with AI and integrate them seamlessly with live‑action footage or animations.
Experiment with AI Tools  – Explore and integrate AI tools to  enhance video quality ,  automate repetitive tasks , and  improve creative efficiency.
Work closely with the Animation Lead, illustrators, and content development teams to ensure  AI-generated visuals align with educational goals  and brand standards.
Ensure that all AI-generated outputs meet JoVE’s  quality, accuracy, and learning-objective standards.
Maintain Project Organization  – Ensure proper file structuring, naming, and adherence to production guidelines.
Incorporate Feedback  – Respond positively to reviews and iterate quickly based on team and stakeholder inputs.
Optimize Production Workflow  – Participate in team discussions and share ideas to improve processes through  creative and AI-driven solutions .

Qualifications & Skills

Educational Requirement (Mandatory)
A  Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree  in  Animation ,  Multimedia ,  Visual Communication , or a related field.
Candidates without formal education but with  equivalent relevant experience  in motion graphics, animation, or video production are also encouraged to apply.

Must-Have

Skills:

Practical experience in video editing and motion graphics using software like  Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects.
Proficiency in the English language  for clear communication and collaboration with teams.
Creative:  Strong understanding of composition, color, pacing, and storytelling principles.
Hands‑on experience  with  generative AI  video tools.
Understanding of video storytelling fundamentals : composition, pacing, color theory, and narrative flow.
Ability to manage multiple projects , meet tight deadlines, and maintain organized file structures.
Curiosity and willingness  to learn, experiment, and adopt AI tools where they can enhance efficiency and creativity.

Nice-to-Have

Skills:

Experience using AI-powered tools for animation, image generation, video editing, or workflow optimization.
Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Suite tools.
Interest in storytelling for educational, scientific, or technical subjects.
