Join Walmart’s local retail team as a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. In this role you will support and oversee repair and maintenance of the Walmart facilities’ refrigeration & HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and a variety of hand tools, digital tools, power tools and other equipment to complete jobs.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart’s safety policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with clean driving record and the ability to pass an MVR.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city/state where the job is located.

Individual compensation packages are based on factors such as skill set, experience and qualifications. Eligible for bonus incentive. Hourly wage range: $23.00 – $45.00/hr additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed.
