Position OverviewNow hiring Part‑Time School Bus Drivers for Geary County, KS. As a First Student Part‑Time School Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in your community by safely transporting students from early‑morning pickups to afternoon drop‑offs. No experience as a bus driver is required; we provide training with industry‑leading technology.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities- A split shift: early morning before‑school pickup and after‑school drop‑off, with several free hours in between.
- A guaranteed shift per school day; no nights or weekends unless you choose to work them.
- Additional hours available through trips and charters when available.
- $20.50 per hour starting wage, based on bus driver experience.
- $750 bonus if the CLP is presented within 7 days of completing the Virtual CLP class.
- $250 bonus if the CLP is presented within 14 days of completing the Virtual CLP class.
- $1,000 sign‑on bonus.
- Medical, Dental, Vision benefits and 401(k) retirement savings plan (benefits vary by location or CBA).
- Paid CDL training.
- Child‑Ride‑Along Program for working parents.
- Do not have a college degree or high‑school diploma.
- Have military experience.
- Returning to the workforce or seeking a second job.

- Enjoys working with students.
- At least 21 years old.
- Has a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
This position is subject to DOT drug testing as a safety‑sensitive employee. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
Bonus Expiration- Bonus offer expires 11/30/25.
