• Must have knowledge of airfield runway construction improvements and pavement resurfacing.
• Perform and support three‑phase inspection system.
• Provide daily QA reports to document all activities observed for each on‑site day in sufficient detail.
• Review and analyze construction contractor progress.
• Ensure safety requirements are met including EM 385‑1‑1 and OSHA requirements.
• Monitor submittals utilizing a submittal status log.
• Review of design, comment logging and back‑checking; verify accurate as‑built drawings.
• Review and comment on the accuracy of the construction contractor’s requests for payment.
• Review and acknowledge daily reports including verification of the project schedule by indicating the activities worked on that day and activities behind schedule.
• Maintain an Inspectors Site Inspection Report.
• Assist in response for Requests for Information (RFI), modifications and change orders.
• Participate in pre‑final and final inspections, assist in preparations of detailed punch‑lists and check that all punch list items are corrected prior to final payment.

• High School diploma or GED with at least 7 years of construction inspection experience (preferred); or
• Associate Degree or Technical Training Degree with at least 5 years of construction inspection experience (preferred); or
• Bachelor of Science Degree with at least 3 years of construction inspection experience (desired).
• Paving Inspector Certification from the Asphalt Institute required within 30 days of start date.
• Experience in Resident Management System (RMS 3.0) preferred.
• Experience enforcing EM 385‑1‑1, OSHA rules and regulations and all applicable safety requirements.
• Demonstrated experience performing quality assurance inspections; submittal review, quality verification, validating contractor pay request and preparing daily reports.
• Experience with Federal Construction projects, particularly US Army Corps of Engineers, preferred.
• Professional presentation and excellent communication skills with attention to detail.
