Overview

The University of Alaska Southeast, School of Arts & Sciences is accepting applications for adjunct faculty members for the upcoming academic year . This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking professional teaching experience who have a passion for educating others in a specific subject. Adjunct positions are filled on a temporary basis. Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of accepted instruction methods.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Public speaking skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Providing high-quality instruction through suitable academic preparation.
  • Familiar with computers and other technologies for instruction, such as Blackboard.

Previous teaching experience is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in a field related to the position, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. 2 years of relevant experience in the field or courses to be taught.

Position Details

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position. Minimum salaries are set by the United Academic - Adjunct, AAUP-AT/AFL-CIO collective bargaining agreement. Salaries may vary based upon education and experience.
