Responsibilities- Effectively provides supervision of the 21 Century Community Learning Center Program on a daily basis, serving as first point of contact for program leadership and needs.
- Resolves student discipline problems, handles conflict, and makes effective decisions under pressure.
- Maintains appropriate records of the overall program and submits on a scheduled basis or as required.
- Ensures a safe, structured after school academic and enrichment schedule in accordance with grant goals and objectives.
- Coordinates as needed with ASD departments providing individualized services to various students such as Title 1, English Language Learner, special needs students, etc.
- In collaboration with school staff, ensures after school programming is in alignment with the school day curriculum.
- In coordination with 21st CLCC manager and school principal, provides support to school staff in areas of need such as attendance, leading reading intervention programs, assisting in student discipline, etc. Support will be determined based on site needs.
- Collaborates with 21st CLCC Department staff in support of program objectives.
- Works proficiently in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Completes performance reports and submits them to the program manager.
- Oversees the provision of a healthy snack for students.
- Monitors and tracks expenditures of grant or other funds.
- Enters data for evaluation of program to include: attendance, activities, registration, and other data as determined.
- Communicates with school staff, families of students, and principal about program needs and progress.
- Conducts recruitment and registration for students participating in the after school program.
- Completes instructor agreements, timesheets, and payroll for the after school staff.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with agencies, organizations, businesses, and neighborhood groups to provide additional resources to the after school program.
- Participates in school and staff committees that support goals and objectives of the state grants.
- Coordinates student transportation with the Anchorage School District Transportation Department, Child in Transition, and families of students, ensuring safe dismissal of students.
- Attends school and 21st CCLC staff meetings and staff development as scheduled.
- Completes mandatory ASD training as outlined in district and department guidelines.
- Recruits, supervises, schedules, monitors, and evaluates staff working in the after school program.
- Procures supplies and resources to support the program.
- Effectively interprets directions, either oral or written, from supervisors.
- Communicates effectively both orally and in writing with students, families, school administration, and community members.

- Four years of experience in one or more of the following human services fields is preferred: adult education, classroom teaching, community development, organizational management, recreation, public affairs, or community services.
- Knowledge of organizational management practices.
- Knowledge of record keeping and report writing.
- Ability to work in a school setting and occasionally work evenings or weekends.
