Elementary School Psychologist – Juneau, AK
Juneau School District is seeking a full-time School Psychologist to support elementary students across two school locations (MRCS & KHE). This role requires an experienced professional with active Alaska Psychologist Licensure and Certification
C. The position is fully onsite and provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students academic and social-emotional development.
Assignment Details:
- Dates: ASAP May 21, 2026
- Hours: Full-time, 37.540 hours/week
- Caseload: Elementary school students; travel between two school sites (MRCS & KHE)
- Compensation: $38/hour
- Setting: Onsite only
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for students in elementary grades.
- Provide individualized counseling and interventions to support social-emotional and academic growth.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address student needs.
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and student support conferences.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff and families.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district policies and state regulations.
Requirements:
- Active Alaska Psychologist Licensure and Certification C (no pending applications accepted)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Must hold or be eligible for VA licensure as a School Psychologist
- Comfortable working in a school-based setting
