The part‑time Microeconomy Augmenter supports the middle school program by guiding students in the planning, management, and operation of the school's microeconomy—a hands‑on learning environment that connects academic skills to real‑world experiences. This position helps students understand concepts of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, sustainability, and community responsibility through authentic work.

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and oversee student‑led projects such as school‑based businesses, product creation, or community service initiatives.
• Model and support the development of skills related to budgeting, record‑keeping, pricing, marketing, and teamwork.
• Facilitate student reflection on the economic, ethical, and social aspects of their work.
• Ensure safety and accountability in all student activities and maintain program materials.
• Support alignment with Montessori and school‑wide goals.
• Maintain a safe food handling environment.
• Experience in food production.

• Experience working with adolescents in an educational or youth program setting.
• Background or interest in entrepreneurship, business education, sustainability, or hands‑on learning.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for experiential and student‑centered education.
