Project Engineer – Mechanical

Anchorage, AK (JBER)

$120,000 – $135,000 per year (based on experience)

• Provide construction engineering services on multiple federal projects ranging in value up to hundreds of millions of dollars.
• Practice site observation and reporting for assigned projects to government personnel.
• Offer technical and administrative support, oversight of construction, contract administration, and quality assurance.
• Analyze design and construction issues with respect to contract requirements.
• Deliver recommendations regarding compliance with contract provisions.
• Review and interpret plans, specifications, submittals, reports, schedules, modifications, cost estimates, pay applications, change orders and claims.
• Perform field surveillance and prepare daily detailed reports covering all pertinent cost and engineering considerations.
• Participate in pre‑construction conferences with government personnel.
• Maintain professional presentation and excellent communication skills.
• Experience with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects is a plus.

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum five years of engineering, construction and contract administration experience.
• Experience on projects with government clients preferred.
• Experience with large “campus” type projects preferred.
• Mechanical systems experience preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass federal background review and drug screen.
